Website and Content Designer – Job


Are you an experienced web designer with a drive to help others? Consumer Action Law Centre has an opportunity for you to use your creativity and expertise in a project to refresh and update our web presence.

Working in collaboration with the Media and Communications Officer, you’ll plan and deliver design and upgrades in consultation with Consumer Action staff and stakeholders, future proofing the website and associated tools with high quality documentation.

About Consumer Action Law Centre
Consumer Action Law Centre is an independent, not-for-profit consumer organisation based in Melbourne. We work to advance fairness in consumer markets, particularly for disadvantaged and vulnerable consumers, through financial counselling, legal advice and representation, and policy work and campaigns. Delivering legal and financial counselling assistance services to Victorian consumers, we have a national reach through our deep expertise in consumer law and policy and direct knowledge of the consumer experience of modern markets.

About This Role
The Website and Content Designer is a fixed term project role, reporting to the Media and Communications Offer. A 6 month, 0.4 FTE contract is offered, with a salary equivalent to $68,300 per annum, paid pro-rata. Consumer Action Law Centre offers fringe benefit salary packaging to employees, so depending on individual financial circumstances the value of the salary may be equivalent to between $4,000 – $5,500 (pro rata) higher.

In collaboration with the Media and Communications Officer, the Website and Content Designer will refresh CALC’s web presence and brand by:

Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to identify audience needs;
Contributing to the development and realization of the Consumer Action branding and content strategy, in line with the broader communications strategy;
Creatively translating needs and requirements so that the website reflects the Consumer Action values and enhances our wider national presence;
This role will provide technical support in order to ensure that the Consumer Action website and associated web presence operates efficiently and reliably and will manage competing priorities and constraints so that project aims are met within time and budget.
