We’re hiring! An Assistant Director – Operations

The Assistant Director, Operations leads an energised team to deliver comprehensive systems and processes to ensure the effective administration and operations of Consumer Action Law Centre. They support change initiatives and manage various projects across the organisation.

  • This a full-time permanent role (part time considered).
  • Salary range $115,819 – $120,652 (pro rata) plus superannuation

Specifically, the Assistant Director, Operations will: 

  • Manage a small team of operations professionals
  • Oversee and support the implementation of new initiatives, including formal project and change management processes
  • Oversee and coordinate compliance with funding and legislative obligations
  • Lead continuous organisational improvements and efficiencies, for example by implementing new policies
  • Drive Consumer Action’s data culture through system improvements and meaningful reporting
  • Ensure the physical environment, technology and telecommunications requirements are maintained and protected.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience in operations management, business administration or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing people and stakeholders
  • Extensive project and change management skills
  • Highly developed written and communication skills
  • The ability to understand and interpret data
  • An understanding of the complexities of providing services to people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage, particularly in the context of legal, financial counselling and advocacy services.
