Dianne Dejanovic worked for 13 years as a financial counsellor on the National Debt Helpline at Consumer Action.
She has helped thousands of people during her time and made a massive contribution to the financial counselling practice. She has also helped in advocacy to Government and people in power by fighting to get systemic change:
“Our role is to get the message from the people we help to those up there…to give voice to the people we work for,” she says.
Her advice to financial counsellors? “Never be afraid to your hand up and never be afraid to say what you don’t know.”
