We are shocked and dismayed by the story in The Age this morning about vulnerable people being ripped off by get-rich-quick college rorts. Unfortunately we are still receiving complaints about pushy salespeople door knocking and cold calling trying to sign people up to courses, and it’s time we said enough is enough. We have received reports that salespeople are implying they are from the government, or offering ‘government funded’ training, when in reality they are signing people up to a potential lifetime debt. These salespeople are driven by commissions, not the best interests of students.
