We’re HIRING! A First Nations Financial Counsellor (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Identified)
About the Role
In this role, you will offer financial counselling services, including intake, referrals, and support via in-person, phone, and chat. You will also engage in casework, contribute to policy and campaign initiatives, and help design and deliver sector training. Additionally, you will support community and sector engagement, working closely with CALC’s First Nations Engagement Lead. You will split your time between working at CALC’s office in the CBD and VALS’s office in Preston.
About you
You are passionate about supporting First Nations communities and providing culturally safe financial advice. You have the ability to work collaboratively with financial counsellors, lawyers, and policy staff. You are committed to making a difference and have the skills and experience required to achieve positive financial outcomes for First Nations clients. Your dedication to community engagement and advocacy is evident, and you are eager to contribute to sector development and training.
