Electricity bill relief for thousands of Victorian battlers: Herald Sun
Consumer Action has welcomed moves from AGL to provide an automatic discount for concession card holders. From the Herald Sun:
“Claire Maries, senior energy policy officer for the Consumer Action Law Centre, said AGL’s was “a good initiative and a step in the right direction”.
More heavily discounted options often had conditions, such as paying on time, that may not suit those in hardship.
“Ideally we would eventually like to see retailers regularly assess the best possible deal for concession cardholders, based on their circumstances,” Ms Maries said.”
