Victorians need better access to quick, fair and free justice in 2018
Consumer Action has launched our latest election platform for this November’s Victorian State Election which calls on our state politicians to make access to justice fairer and more affordable for all Victorians.
Victorians are having a hard time navigating the legal system to enforce their consumer and financial rights and get justice. It can be too complex, take too long and cost too much for many people on low or middle incomes.
The platform identifies two practical measures for law-makers to reduce barriers to justice for Victorians and give them a fair go when they have a consumer dispute or experience financial difficulty.
1. A quick, free and fair alternative for Victorians who buy lemon cars
2. Ninety additional Financial Counsellors for Victoria
